Zone 5 Vision 2026-27

  1. Build Sustainability into all existing initiatives.

  2. Continue the development and launch of the Zone 5 Mentorship & Skills Upgrading Program.

  3. Bring the National Camp once again to Zone 5.

  4. Take the Kashmiri Cultural Education Initiative National, as part of the KOA Heritage Committee initiatives.

  5. Take the Zone 5 Engaging Elders Initiative National and create an online community for our seniors and elders to engage actively.

My Manifesto

First and foremost, building sustainability in each of these initiatives is vital. We want these programs to grow and engage more of our community, especially our youth. KOA owes it to our young people to create an organization that is a resource for them and for the larger community, now and into the future.

My Continuing Promise

"Sustainability of our KOA initiatives and programs is my primary goal. While a lot has already been accomplished in the last two years, a lot of work has to be done to make each of these initiatives sustainable, so that they stand on their own and grow well into the future. My goal for a potential second term as Zone 5 Director, is to ensure that the initiatives that were launched in the last 21 months are strengthened, potentially all expanded nationally (like the Language Literacy Initiative), and that they become an ongoing part of the KOA programs, and are handed off to the capable hands of future zonal leadership.
